Vagad Sewa Trust is headquartered in the dharmshala located within the Mahatma Gandhi Hospital premises, at Banswara, since October 2002, and has been offering numerous welfare related function towards patients, their attendents and other segments of the society.

 Free food to patients and their attendants:
The trust has been offering free, two meals a day to all patients and their attendants visiting the Mahatma Gandhi General Hospital, Banswara. The meals include Vegetable, Dal, Rice, Chappati, Dalia cooked in pure ghee jaggery for around 400 persons daily since October 2002. Sweet dish is also provided on festivals and other important occassions. The general public also contribute in provision of this food.
Free Boarding with bedding for attendants of patients:
Patients and their attendants are provided free cots, bedding, linen, soap, oil, comb, toothpaste, toileteries laterine and bath facilities with morning bed tea. |

Life saving drugs at purchased rates:
Trust is selling drugs on purchased cost without adding any establishment expenditure. The turnover in 3 year period was around 3.87 crores, out of which the public benefited to the line of 80 lakhs. We have also benefited people by taking back unused medicines worth Rs. 16 lakhs.
Supply of free medicines to poor patients
The trust collect the unused medicines/ and through other public doners is providing free medicine to poor patients by setting up a free medicine Bank. Till date medicine worth 1.64 lakhs have been distributed during a period of one year. |

Free Ambulance Facilities:
Free ambulance
service is provides to the poor and needy for transportation of patients and dead bodies.
Free hostel facility for Deaf & Dumb:
The trust is running a free hostel for the deaf & dumb where free lodging, boarding, food, bedding and toiletries are provided.

Opium de addiction camps:
Seven, 10 days opium de addiction camp has been held at the dharmshala premises in Banswara. Each camp was attended by around 40 persons. The patients are then monitored and proper follow up care is taken through our mobile social supervisors who visit their home regularly.
Anti gutka/Smoking/tobaco /alcohol/ smack campaign:
Awareness campaign/lectures and counselling is organised against consumers of alcohol, smoking, gutka and other drugs. |

Free plantations:
200 trees, lawn and otger plants have been planted at the dharmshala and within the hospital premises. |

| Extension of health care services to udaipur maharana bhopal hospital |
The trust in its endeavour to reach out to a largest poor segment of the society now provides the following services at the Maharana Bhopal General Hospital, Udaipur:-
a) Medical Assistance Counters:
Two medical assistance and help counters are set up in the outdoor deptt. and Set Sahkari ji dharmshala. Trained medical nurses are employed to help and guide patients with their medical queries and help in their hospital admission.
b) Free bedding, toiletries, utensils, cooking facilities:
The udaipur branch under the name of Vagad Sewa Trust Mewar, is offering free bedding, cooking utensils, gas cylinders and burners, toileteries, telephone, fridge, TV and other facilities at the Seth Sahkaria dharmshala, located in the premises of the Maharana Bhopal General Hospital, Udaipur.
c) Maintenance and upkeep of dharmshala:
The trust has undertaken sign posting, notice boards, whitewashing, repair of toilets, cloth drying facilities and tree plantations and general upkeep of the dharmshala amd surrounding areas.
d) Waiting room Management and upkeep:
A newly constructed waiting room (First floor) opposite the Janana Hospital is run, staffed and managed by the trust.
